On-site PC & Network Maintenance
Service Example: Your company contacts BackBone about our PC
& Network Support services. After conducting a network audit,
BackBone proposes a X number of hour per month network support
agreement. The X number of hours which (based on the size of your
network, eg. the number of PCs) we believe would be the minimum
number of hours necessary to ensure maximum uptime and network
efficiency. The actual number of hours needed on a monthly basis
may be more than the X number of hours, but BackBone will place
all reasonable effort to complete within the allocated number
of hours. We will always get written authorization from you or
a designated representative of your company prior to doing any
work that would result in additional billing.
As an example of the monthly utilization, some of the hours each
month would be used to do pc/server security updates, patches
for which are being constantly released as well as virus &
spyware removal. There are many factors involved in the monthly
maintenance that will be done as a standard part of the maintenance
(examples would be weekly anti-virus software updates for the
servers, purging of temporary files to free up disk resources,
installing necessary updates and service packs and performing
network backups. All of these are very important to keeping your
pc & network operational and would take up some of the allocated
hours, with the additional time being spent on user support.
This solution is very cost effective as compared with hiring
a part-time or full-time Systems Administration or IT executive
to support your company's IT infrastructure.
Most of our Maintenence Packages includes Ad-hoc on-call support
in case of emergencies at no additional charge. Such emergencies
might include emergency servicing due to hardware failure, virus
infection, ISP problems or any other issues that would require
an unscheduled support visit. The allocated ad-hoc hours may also
be utilized for non-emergency support if there were no emergency
support incidents in a particular month.
If the need arise to service beyond the contracted number of
hours, prior notification and consent will be obtained from the
client and clear breakdown of the network maintenance needs will
be provided. We will send an invoice for any extra service hours
in a particular month, if any.
